Welcome to my website (and sporadic blog) for the study of medieval cultural history. Over time I hope to expand the information section of this site, be it through my occasional blog or through the research activities page, so that anyone who seeks an introduction to the world of medieval ‘cats and cripples’ may find a starting point here.
  • About Irina
I am now a research fellow at the university of Swansea in Wales. Before that, as an independent scholar, or consultant historian if you prefer I have been engaged, in one way or another, in academic pursuits since 1988, when I started studying in England. Before that I already lived and worked in the UK, taking evening classes to gain the qualifications needed for university entry – a path that in the current climate is unfortunately ever less likely for future students.
